Last episode, we talked with former FBI agent Harold Copus about Black Thursday.

That was the massive drugstaying in 1982 that brought down several people in and around

NASCAR.

As you might recall, several of those people involved including Billy Harvey, Peewee Griffin,

Gary Baloo were all acquaintances and or former NASCAR teammates of Mario Rossi.

And you also might recall, this massive sting happened just months before Rossi's disappearance.

The Rossi family asked us to look into it.

Yet up to this point, we hadn't found any connection between Rossi and the smuggling

ring that brought down the others.

Harold Copus was the lead FBI investigator on the case, so we asked him about this.

Do you remember ever coming across the name Mario Rossi?

Yes.

What do you remember about him?

Very little.

I had an informant who I still occasionally talked to and he had information on Rossi.

Copus told us that this informant was actually still alive.

He also told us that there were some things we needed to know about him.

You talk with him, you come back and your head is exploding with all the information he's

giving you and you're trying to figure out how much of it is real and how much of it
