Our folks, welcome back to the podcast. I'm very excited to have as my guest today. Sisters Kathleen

Harnished McCune and Karen Dixon. Ladies, welcome. Thank you. You're welcome. So Kathleen is an

author, speaker, and co-founder of the nonprofit Remarkably Resilient Incorporated. Drawing on her lived

experience as a survivor of childhood incest and trauma,

she helps translate the neuroscience of trauma into practical tools for healing and resilience.

She's a co-author of remarkably resilient Community Matters and works to support individuals

and communities in building emotional regulation and recovery skills.

Karen is an author, speaker, and co-founder of the nonprofit remarkably resilient as well.

Also a survivor of childhood incest and trauma. She works alongside her sister to help individuals

and communities understand the impact of trauma and develop practical resilience skills.

All right, ladies, obviously, just a little bit about you.

Before we get going, share with the listeners, where you're from originally and where

you are currently.

Karen, let's start with you.

Originally from Denver, Colorado, and then moved to a small little town called

Kinsley, Kansas, where we spent, I spent

from age 11 on until I went to college. And currently, I'm in two places, Arizona primarily,

and in the summers, I'm up in Wisconsin, visiting my children and grandchildren.

Okay. Awesome. And similar for me, born in Denver,

moved to Kinsley, Kansas, Western Kansas when I was not quite 13. I now reside in the Kansas City

metro area, but also have a home in Tucson, so Karen and I and Sharon, our other sister can live near each other
