Summary

Since early on in this investigation, when we learned about the website and the Forked Paz community,

I had a group of undercover detectives create a fake, and join that online community.

They came to me and said, hey, I found something on your guide kit.

Detective Lou Stecco of the Albany Police Department was following what he assumed to be

a major lead in the case of Sarah Larson, who'd been missing for several weeks.

Given her activity on the Garden of Forked Paths,

and the fact that she'd been doxed, Stecco assigned several detectives to pose online,

hoping the website she was so obsessed with might yield some clues, such as the identity of Kit,

a mysterious and legendary figure whom she'd met on her road trip

to Ong's hat.

He tracked her there.

Apparently Sarah Larson had posted something about him on the Garden of Fort Paz website

and had taken a cell phone picture of him.

but they were able to find this photograph. And ultimately, that helped us identify the body

in the egg. Yesterday, the body of an adult male lacking identification was found when

hikers came across another egg-shaped pod in the vicinity of Aung's hat.

In fact, in another unsettling coincidence, it would prove to be the very pod

Sarah and Charlie discovered during their trip to the site.
