0:12.2	So affiliate marketing is a fancy technical term for the digital modernization of one of
0:19.6	the oldest businesses in the world, which is just the referral business.
0:22.2	Hey, I know a guy that has access to all the home inventory in Atlanta.
0:27.4	So if you want to move to Atlanta, let me hook you up with my buddy and if you buy a house
0:30.7	through him, maybe he'll send me a Morton's gift certificate or something.
0:34.6	That's affiliate marketing is just in the analog world.
0:37.2	So on the internet, it's done through links and it's all tracked and there's a special
0:40.1	code that's embedded in the link where they actually know exactly where the referral
0:43.4	link came from and they call it affiliate marketing.
0:46.9	You start, you give it time.
0:49.4	First of all, you have to calibrate your expectations.
0:51.4	This is one of the biggest problems with internet based businesses, real business and real
0:57.8	anything still takes real time.
1:01.0	But there's a quality of life exchange or change when you say, okay, I'm going to start
1:06.4	using my life to organically generate value that I can use to serve an audience that's
1:12.9	truly appreciative of what I'm doing and I can grow that into an off ramp enterprise
1:18.6	that eventually sets me free from reliance on the matrix.

1:22.6	Like even if that takes you five years, that's still a hell of a lot better than the 40
1:25.8	year, I'm never really going to be able to retire plan that most Americans are on.
