Today, I sat down, but let's say I sit down and chat with one half of the minimalists, Joshua Fields, Melbourne.

Oh, what does one half of the minimalists mean?

It's very, very small. It's very minimal. I was trying to get you to talk about who the minimalists are. Oh, well, see, I'm not very good at picking up on those kind of signals. Let's pretend that I said something, witty, ha ha ha. So the minimal, I'm pretty sure everyone listening to this has heard of the minimalists, but that's a, if not,

it's a couple of guys, Joshua and Ryan Nicodemus, who a few years ago, not about the same

time that I started writing about slow living, they began writing about their personal journey

towards living a minimal kind of life. Sort of a different take on it, I guess, because at the time they were two single guys,

both divorced, I think, but both kind of on this total journey of rediscovery and, you know,

reinvention of themselves because they found that

the American dream that they'd been working so hard to attain was actually not their dream at all.

So Joshua and I get into that quite in depth in today's conversation, but the minimalists are

that, that, you know, pairing of guys who continue to take the world by storm they you know

host massive tours around the world yeah we saw them in when they were in Sydney we did we

got to meet them which was lovely 14 it's really nice to put like a human face to emails and

Twitter and whatnot so that was really nice to be able to meet them face to face.

But it was interesting.

Joshua and I spoke about that a little bit before we went on air and then we touched on

it while in our interview.

But he said that was just such an enormous undertaking.

They basically gave up an entire year of their lives to do that.
