situation because the governor's race has really been not ignored, but appreciated the fact that Senator

Coach Tommy Tuberville looks to be a shoe in.

And so a couple of the big races in the state that are getting more notoriety than normal is the U.S. Senate race always is.

And I got a good slate of candidates running there.

And then the Attorney General's race where there are three good candidates running there as well.

In the lieutenant governor's race that I'm in, there are six of us, and there is three guys who have been involved in politics,

intimately involved in politics for 10 plus years, and three, two of us that are outsiders and one who is married to a legislator.

And so it's interesting, the people that have had, have been on the road seeking this nomination

for well over a year, I guess is the normal approach. I got out through my hat

in the game at the very end of qualifying season at the end of January and I did it because

the elephant in the room, the one issue that cannot be ignored any longer is the lack of

trust in government, whether it's the national, state, or local here in Montgomery, Alabama,

certainly have many problems that need to be addressed. In regards to the lieutenant governor's role.

I am approaching it from a different perspective than anybody I've ever heard of doing

because most people that run for the lieutenant governor's role are trying to ingratiate

themselves into the system so that they can later on take the big seat of the governor.

I think the most important role that a lieutenant governor has is in our state, I don't know how many other states have a dual platform.
