And my mother working in this thrift store, she would price books at the thrift store,

and then she'd come home with a sack of books.

And she'd say, well, how can you not buy a good book for 15 cents?

And so she was supposed to be selling these books.

So I grew up around so many books, but one time she took me to the library in Wedgwood,

and in the juvenile science fiction section, I found Rocket Ship Galileo,

and that was my entree to science fiction, and I just loved it.

I think it inspires your creativity and your ability to think out of the box

and think that wild and crazy ideas are possible.
