And what we're going to get into today is the eye card.

You don't know what the eye card is.

Well, you'll find out.

The eye card turned a house judiciary committee hearing into a circus.

But a circus with a lesson, that's the important thing here.

So don't know if you saw it, but on Wednesday, the new Republican-controlled House Judiciary

Committee had its first hearing.

Under the new chairman, Jim Jordan, the hearing's purpose, the purpose of the hearing was to

begin, just to begin.

What is expected to be a long and very detailed, intensive investigation of the crisis on

the US-Mexico border and of the Biden administration policies that brought that crisis about.

You can say that actually pretty definitively, those administration policies brought this

crisis about.

But before getting to the border, the committee had to take care of some routine first-time

businesses, the first time meeting with the committee under the new Republican majority

in the new Congress.

And they had to approve a set of rules that will govern committee procedures for the next

two years.

And that is when, before any discussion of the border ever began, the hearing just went

off the rails.
