We like to get right into it and what we're going to get into today, what we really have

to get into today is this Chinese balloon story.

The point of the podcast is it's even bigger as a story.

It's even bigger than it seems, okay?

So it's obviously become a very serious issue in the past few days.

But now things are getting worse.

I mean, this was serious enough to begin with and now it has become far more so.

So obviously, just on a basic level, there are a lot of questions in the aftermath of

the Air Force shoot down with the balloon off the coast of South Carolina, it was on Saturday.

So there are questions like, well, what was the balloon spying on?

But information had it gathered when was the U.S. aware of its existence.

Will American experts be able to secure enough of the wreckage from the ocean floor of

South Carolina to answer those questions and other questions?

Okay.

So those are fairly obvious, obvious questions here, but there are perhaps more troubling

issues raised by the conduct of top Biden administration officials as it concerns this

Chinese spy balloon.

First, they sought political cover by claiming that Chinese spy balloons had overflowing

the U.S. three times during the Trump administration and nobody did anything about them then.

Then a chorus of high-ranking officials from the Trump years, I mean, they just rose

up and said, no, this did not happen, did not happen.
