So originally this film was scheduled to come out in September of 2019, and it was actually

pushed back because of two separate shootings. So there was one in Daytona, there was one in El Paso. And in the

wake of that, they decided, you know what, it's not in good taste. We're not going to promote this

movie that is dealing with people shooting other people, which is completely ridiculous because

no offense to you as an American. you guys have so many fucking shootings down

there that it's like no movie would ever come out if it included violence of this kind.

It even goes back to like, I'm sure something before Scream, but even like looking at

scream when it's like, oh, like the effects of cinema violence on, you know, people and like,

oh, like, how much responsibility do we hold art or media for

violence in the world, you know, and it's just like, I don't know.

I think it's such a dangerous precedent to be like, oh, we're going to postpone this movie

out of fear of, like, offending people who might have been involved in a shooting.

Yeah.

And let's be clear.

So that was the official word that came out from Universal when they pulled it off the

schedule. If we're being honest with ourselves, the real reason that this ended up getting pulled
