0:00.0	On Saturday, October 7th, as Hamas militants stormed into Israel, Rachel Goldberg heard
0:12.4	emergency sirens.
0:14.8	She turned on her phone to see if her son, Hersh Goldberg Poland, had been in touch.
0:21.3	She found two text messages from him.
0:24.2	One said, I love you guys.
0:26.6	The other said, I'm sorry.
0:30.1	Her son was at the Nova Music Festival.
0:33.5	One of the sites attacked by Hamas militants were they killed more than 250 people.
0:40.2	Rachel later found out that her son had been hiding in a bomb shelter as Hamas fighters
0:46.0	moved in.
0:47.4	And these are men coming with submachine guns and he was picking up grenades that they
0:53.6	were throwing and throwing them back out.
0:56.1	The Hamas fighters left momentarily.
0:59.4	And then they came back in and they said, anyone who can stand up, get up and Hersh got

1:06.1	And three people saw that his arms had been blown off like around the elbow and that he
1:15.1	had tied a tourniquet around it and they said, and he got up and he walked out.
1:21.7	And that's the last that he was seeing.
1:27.3	They were told that the boys who went out were put on a pickup truck and driven toward
1:37.0	Gaza.
1:42.6	Rachel is now trying to find out anything she can about her son's whereabouts.
1:48.6	And so are the families of around 200 hostages from at least 30 countries.
