never done anything like this before. Today I am joined by Austin Police Department Sergeant Tanya Jefferson and my three kids,

Sergeant Jefferson has worked in the police department for 23 years.

She was the first African American woman to be on the APD Motorcycle Unit.

because my kids started asking a lot of questions to me over the summer and I had more questions to ask back to them than I had answers to give them.

I think more than anything right now I'm wanting to teach my kids nuance how to hold tensions and how to see
