Today, on the show, we have with us, the fastest woman in the Canada, none other than Olympic sprinter Khamica Bingham. Khamica Bingham is a Canadian track and field athlete who specializes in the 100 meters. She has represented Canada at the Pan American Games, Commonwealth Games and the World Championships in Athletics. She became part of the national record women’s 4×100 m relay team along with Kimberly Hyacinthe, Crystal Emmanuel and Shai-Anne Davis. She is also the 2019 Pan American Games Silver medalist in the 4×100 m relay.
Khamica started off as a national-level gymnast and then switched to track due to personal reasons. In this video, she will share her spectacular journey into track & field and how it all began. She will share all her struggles and hardships she faced in becoming a world class athlete. In July 2016 she was officially named to Canada’s Olympic team. She also described how big this moment was for her and her family. She talks about the tragic time when she lost a dear friend and how deeply the incident affected her. All athletes fall at some point in their journey but it is the resilience which makes an Olympian athlete. We talked about how she recovered from the incident and got back on track. We will also talk about her preparations and routines right now for future events.
