Well, I want to share with you words that the Holy Spirit loves to hear, but very few Christians ever speak. Let's begin with

these words, welcome Holy Spirit. In 1 Thessalonians chapter 5, verses 16 through 22, we read,

always be joyful, never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's

will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. Do not stifle the Holy Spirit. Do not scoff at prophecies,

but test everything that is said, hold on to what is good good stay away from every kind of evil i want to

focus in on that phrase do not stifle the holy spirit do not put out his work as you would stifle a

flame we all need to live lives mindful of his presence. So often we go on about our day,

doing and thinking things that actually minimize the influence of the Holy Spirit in our everyday lives.

Let me ask you this. Does the Holy Spirit feel at home in you? We know that we are temples of the Holy Spirit.

Do you make him feel welcome?

Or does the way you think and act make him feel like there is discomfort there?

Our lives and ministries should say welcome Holy Spirit.

Now, there are many reasons why people will do and say things that

actually stifle the work of the Holy Spirit. And this can be so subtle. This is why we need to pay

attention to this, because if you're not careful, you won't catch this. And you'll live in such a way

as to grieve the precious Holy Spirit, or as I said, to minimize his influence.

When it comes to the Holy Spirit's influence, it's like a mighty flowing river.

You cannot fight him. You cannot force him. You can only flow with him.
