Welcome to our Rosary meditation.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

It's called a mind to all those we've promised to pray for,

especially for Kelly and Debbie Davis, for Christian Moffit, for a successful surgery for

Olivia Canile, for Little Damien, and that through the intercession of Pauline Jericho,

Margo will wake up.

Now today is September 12th, the Feast of the Holy Name of Mary, celebrating the fact that victory,

when it comes, comes through Mary.

Now in 1571, the Muslim holy war to destroy Christianity and conquer Europe was repulsed at the Battle of

La Ponto. Due primarily not to the Christian fleet

because it was badly outnumbered and outgunned,

but due primarily to innumerable ordinary people praying the rosary.

Now I'll share that story with you on October 7th

on the feast of Our Lady of Victory.

But with that sea invasion,

repulsed in 1571, the Muslims sought to conquer Europe and Christianity by land.

By 1683, the Islamic forces had reached the heart of Europe and laid siege to Vienna.

The leader of the Muslim Harvey was Karam Mustafa, whose army swelled to more than 300,000,

compared to only 15,000 defenders trapped within the walls of Vienna. Obviously the Viennese were no match. If Vienna fell, nothing would stop the

Muslims from flooding through the rest of Europe.
