The Michael Berry Show has an update in the hobby airport kickback scheme.

Papas had to be kicked out of the airport in order to share the wealth with all of

Sylvester Turner's frat buddies, former very close friends, if some legal documents are

to be trusted more than just friends, and more, Papas had to get out of the way because

the spoils had to be shared with the friends.

Well, Papas decided, you know what? I'm not going to be treated this way. You've cheated

this process and I'm going to prove it. So they filed a lawsuit.

Problem with that is now we're going to have information that's going to get public.

We've already learned in the early days that William Paul Thomas, who has pled guilty

to federal crimes of taking bribes as Sylvester Turner's chief of staff, also called Papas

and tried to jack them up as well. Well, the group that got the contract, the friends

of Sylvester, is a group called Arias, R-A-R-E-A-S, and they have filed motions that the

city of Houston has agreed with to close the courtroom today during the temporary injunction

hearing. An injunction is something that prevents someone from doing something a temporary

injunction is usually sought when you're trying to prevent an action from occurring because

the harm would be irreparable, or it to occur. In this case, Papas is seeking a temporary

injunction to say, hey, don't kick us out of here because once you kick us out of here,

our ability to go back in and run our restaurants should we win this lawsuit will be severely

hampered. Let us stay here for some brief period of time while this lawsuit, at least the

preliminary motions are made and ruled upon. So during the temporary injunction hearing today,

the city of Houston and the kickback recipients allegedly have moved to prevent the public and

the media from learning about the city's procurement process. Why don't this isn't exactly national
