I have long had a fascination with peacocks.

I don't know why.

In Austin, there was a place, I think it was called Green Acres.

They were famous, no, no, I think it was called Green Acres.

And they were famous for a Thanksgiving meal

they served every year, but they were famous

for their Sunday brunch.

And the thing that people would talk about

was they have all these peacocks running around the grounds.

Austin in 1993 was a bit different than it is now.

It wasn't nearly as developed,

and it was a lot more developed than the generation before.

It was in beginning that big process,

but in the 2000s, that began in earnest.

I've always had a fascination for peacocks.

And my wife has a love of peacocks

the way you would say an American eagle,

peacocks a national bird of India.

So we had two peacocks that were in our backyard

and George, our German Shepherd, she would chase them relentlessly.

And we'd forget that they were gonna be out there
