Welcome to the For the Gospel podcast. For the gospel is all about providing sound

doctrine for every day people. This is Kosti Hin and I'm your host and on today's

episode I want to tell you the story of how for the gospel started. As we come to the

end of the year, so many people are listening and we get a lot of feedback from you

which we're grateful for. And one thing that continues to be on my mind is the story.

What God has done and where he has brought this ministry from its concept days to now.

And so I want to share the vision and the mission and the strategy for the gospel as well.

And note that when I say vision, I'm not talking about some preacher claiming to have visions

and prophecy about what God will do. I know some of you are triggered by that statement

because of your past like mine. I'm talking about a picture of where we want to be and

how we ask God to do something and then we trust them and we say, well, according

to your will, Lord, but on our team, we say a lot of times, man, imagine if, imagine

if this, imagine if that. And so we started saying with for the gospel, imagine if we

put money and energy behind creative media and we put out loads of sound doctrine for

everyday people, what an impact that could have. Imagine if, and then we say, God, please

make that a reality if it's your will. Well, that's what I'm talking about when I talk

about vision. But I want to share with you the history. How did for the gospel start?

Where did we come from and then where we are and where we're heading? And I want to

give you a financial overview as well. We promise to be transparent. That's something

we value as a ministry. And so I want to make good on that promise before this year is

done. But the idea for the gospel started before I wrote my first book. I'd gotten off

a call was on the end publishing and they said, I needed a blog or something as an author
