This episode is for Silas and Leah Warner who wanted to hear a story about the history

of ninjas in honor of their birthdays.

This one's for you.

When you think of ninjas, you probably imagine stealthy black clad warriors who are experts

at martial arts.

Maybe you have even pretended to be a ninja by jumping out to surprise someone with a loud

hi-yah and an exaggerated karate stance.

Lots of movies and shows have characters who do this kind of thing.

So we think that this is really what ninjas do.

While in this episode, we are going to discover the true history of the ninjas who were

they really and where did they originate.

Back in several of our earlier episodes, I told you stories set during the Middle Ages.

This time period is between the ancient times which are talked about in the Bible and

the modern ages which is the time we live in.

The Middle Ages were after the fall of the Roman Empire.

I told you about a social and governmental system that came about during that time period.

In Europe, it was called the feudal system.
