1:21.6 | When we are facing the facade of St. Peter's Basilica, when we're looking at this majestic square, I want you to get a sense of the rich theology that this square is shouting out to us, but many people miss. |
1:35.3 | This was done by the great Baroque artist Bernini. It was done from 1657 to 1667. And I want you to just take a look at this amazing square, |
1:45.0 | but it's placed in front of this large dome that was designed by Michelangelo. |
1:49.0 | In fact, it's the tallest dome in the world over 448 feet tall. |
1:55.0 | But if you notice, there's a tall dome there, and if we were to step back a little bit, |
1:59.0 | you could see two smaller domes on either side of the big dome. |
2:03.3 | So you had the biggest dome in the world, |
2:05.2 | and then two smaller domes on the left and the right. |
