0:38.9	I know a lot of us have used hypocrisy these days to cause outrage in the news, to unfriend people in our lives, to distance ourselves from people that we even care about.
0:50.7	I'm curious to hear what started your journey into learning more about hypocrisy.
0:56.1	I read an article, I think, in February 2020 about how people thought very differently about
1:03.8	marriage for themselves versus for others, like for other people that said it's not that
1:09.4	important, but in general they themselves
1:11.7	got married and this kind of inconsistency was pretty interesting to me and stuck in my head.
1:18.7	And of course then COVID happened and other things got in the way.
1:23.1	But it never really left me.
1:26.3	And if you ever had that thing where an idea just sort of plants itself in your head and
1:31.0	starts to grow, and I started thinking about hypocrisy and how strange it is, in terms of
1:36.4	how we use it in society, how it's everywhere, and yet we use it to mean very different things,
1:42.0	and yet it triggers so much outrage.
1:45.9	It really is one thing that reliably makes us extremely angry.
