There are a couple of accounts that I love to follow online that show really old pictures of America, right?

So this is what Times Square used to look like in

1926.

For example, I love seeing the fashion,

I love seeing how sparse everything looks,

I love seeing the old cars. The aesthetics of it is its own fun. But there's a bigger,

kind of deeper reason I love looking at old images or even watching old movies sometimes and I write about this in my Let

it Be Easy Book.

First of all, you know that who you're seeing in those photos or on the screen, every single one of them, they're

gone.

Because they were adults in a movie a hundred years ago, sometimes even more, adults in a photo. And I find that incredibly

soothing. Think about it, one day we will all be history too. One day we're

going to be those people that future versions of us human beings look back on and go oh my god look what they used to

where look what they used to drive look how Miami or New York or San Francisco used to look in

2024 it's so cute. so old.

That's inevitable, right?

It's progress, it's life.

And the second reason is this.

I just love to think,

gosh, what were these people feeling?

What were their emotions even at this time?
