This morning, I'm going to talk to you about something that I hate and something that you might also be experiencing yourself.

So I think it's an important topic for us to

cover this morning. You see, it seems that the more successful you are, the more people lie to you.

People outside your inner circle seem to aggrandize you thinking that the sun rises and sets on

your forehead. So they don't really tell you the truth about what's going on. The people inside your

circle, staff, leadership, team members, vendors, they are so they don't really tell you the truth about what's going on the people inside your circle staff

leadership team members vendors they actually fear you because you are the keeper of their future

if they fall out of favor or you become displeased their livelihood is at stake one wave of the wrist

and you're out thus everyone around you tells you what you want to hear,

not necessarily what you need to hear. The more successful you are, the more people around you

are no longer willing or able to tell you the truth. This is how the mighty fall. We've seen

this saga played out over and over throughout history, and it's around us every

single day.

You wonder how great celebrities or people of great success and power, even nations, end

up squandering all their wealth and sometimes life and limb?

You think, didn't anybody around them try to stop them? Probably not because they either

worship them or they feared them. So what's the answer to this? Number one, you

want to create an environment of trust, an environment of vulnerability, an

openness with your team, demonstrate that it's okay for people to disagree with you to argue

with you to debate and even have conflicting ideas with you and be praised for it
