Let's all go to John the 14th chapter.

John 14.

And verse 16, Jesus said this, I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another comforter.

He was their comforter at that point.

But he said, he had told him he's leaving and they were really upset about that.

But he told him, no, you're not going to be comfortless without a comforter.

You're going to get another comforter.

Another means one of the same kind as himself.

That he may abide with you forever.

He's not going to leave.

He's going to be with you without end.

Verse 17, even the spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive because it sees him not, neither

knows him, but you know know him for he dwells with

you and shall be in you now the Holy Spirit came on the day of Pentecost and he's been here

ever since and all that will receive him and yield to him,

he will be the most amazing helper that there is.

Nobody is a better helper than him.

Did you notice in this verse,

Jesus keeps referring to the Holy Spirit with personal pronouns.

The Spirit of Truth whom the world cannot receive because it sees Him not.

Neither knows Him, but you know Him, for He dwells with you.

It is inappropriate to refer to the Holy Spirit as an it,
