You know, many years ago, as a young mom, I had a moment

that profoundly impacted my relationship with my husband and how I walked with God.

And some of you maybe have heard this story before, but I just need to share it to set up our topic

today. I've been on bed rest for six months. We had a one and a three-year-old, and then I'm

on bed rest with a high-rest pregnancy for six months. We had a one and a three-year-old, and then I'm on bed rest

with a high-risk pregnancy for six months. We just finally had given birth to our third son,

only to face this potential of a debilitating neurological disease. There were so many unknowns,

so much fear. My husband had exhausted himself, taking care of me and our little ones.

And here we, you know, we endured the

six months of bed rest, used up so many friend favors, and now we are facing the scary uncertainty

of this wretched unknown disease. And I just couldn't bear it. And in my tears, I was in bed.

I pulled my husband close and I said, you have to divorce me. I can't let you give up your

life for me. I'm going to go live with my parents.

And you've got to marry someone who loves Jesus and who will raise these boys to love Jesus too.

And I was beside myself.
