My Lord and my God, I firmly believe that you are here, that you see me, that you hear me.

I adore you with profound reverence. I ask your pardon for my sins,

and the grace to make this time of prayer fruitful. My immaculate mother, St. Joseph, my father and Lord, my guardian angel, intercede for me.

On this beautiful feast of Divine Mercy Sunday,

let us take advantage of the great insights and inspirations offered to us by St. Faustina Kowalska.

It was St. Faustina, to whom the Lord gave such wonderful insights regarding his heart of mercy. In 1931, when Faustina was in her mid-20s,

the Lord entered into her heart in a very special way. As we read in her diary. Today, Jesus told her,

I am sending you with my mercy

to the people of the whole world.

I do not want to punish aching mankind,

but I desire to heal it,

pressing it to my most merciful heart. The Lord made St. Faustina his secretary of mercy. You are the secretary of my mercy. I have chosen you for that office,

in this life and in the next life, to make known to souls the great mercy that I have for them, and to exhort them to trust in the bottomless depth of my mercy.

On February 22nd, 1931,

the Lord said to her,

I desire that there be a feast of mercy.

I want this image,

which you will paint with a brush,

to be solemnly blessed on the first Sunday after Easter. That Sunday is to be the Feast of Mercy.
