Today on the Grave Talks, the Allen House.

When Mark Spencer and his family moved into the beautiful old Allen house in Monticello, Arkansas,

they were well aware of its notorious reputation for being haunted.

According to local lore, the troubled spirit of Society Bell Liddell Allen, who had mysteriously

committed suicide in the master bedroom in the year 1948, still roamed the grand historic

mansion.

Yet, Mark remained skeptical until he and his family began encountering faceless phantoms,

a doppelganger spirit, and other paranormal phenomena.

Ensuing ghost investigations offered convincing evidence that sick spirits, including Liddell,

inhabited their home.

With the most shocking event occurred the day Mark followed a strange urge to explore the attic

and found crammed under a floorboard of secret love letters

that touchingly depicted Liddle Allen's forbidden heartsearing romance, and shed light on her tragic end.

This discovery and this story is what we'll be talking about today on the Grave Talks.

My wife and I drove to Montefellow, Arkansas, because I was offered an interview for the position of Dean of the School

of Arts and Humanities at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

And we drove into town on the main highway.

We took a left turn at a light. We drove up to the town square. We took a left turn

at the town square and we found ourselves on North Main Street. And we drove down North Main

Street and marring the large old historic homes. And we came upon this somewhat run down but but really gorgeous old

Victorian and I stopped the car and my wife and I sat there in the middle of the street

galking at this house because it was just so so attractive
