Welcome to part two of our interview with Randy Johnson about the Charleston Dungeon.

I mean, and you do, you listen all the time down in the sense of the change rattle.

And what is most likely to happen while you're down there is, you're more likely than

if you're going to have a car home on Santa, it's probably going to be with somebody from the pirate era.

They seem to inhabit and haught that place. It's like their castle. And so, you know, that's where we share all of our ghost stories about pirates and the Revolutionary War figures because that's where it all happened. A lot of

suffering down there. People being whipped to death. There's a room in the back of the dungeon

that goes deeper than the rest of the dungeon, so it actually goes below sea level. But it's kept

dry. They used to probably drain it by cops, you know, but now they have a sub-comp system.

And that's, it's a creepy room.

You can only see it through a barred window.

When you look down, you just know horrible things happen there.

And that's where they would shackle, they would swing people up,

not in shackles, take them out of their shackles, take them down into this horrible room.

And then they would stretch them out on this thing called the claim of pain. And when you

see one, you realize immediately, my God, that's evil. Yeah, you bet it's medieval. It was

bought right over here from

England and it's a system for holding people while you whip them you know you see

similar things when you watch movies about the British Empire and you watch them

on the British Navy and that you know the British Navy caught someone violating the

code they would drag them up and every, all sailors would

assemble on deck and they would stretch them out with ropes and ripped their shirt off

and then proceed to flog them with the counter nine tails. Well, guess what? That's what they
