So I don't think it's a big surprise.

It was always a three-year deal.

And it seemed they hired his successor like two years ago.

So Skip Schumacher being here was never a secret secret like he's a guy who was of interest to a lot of

managerial openings in major league baseball he's a guy who's got cred and he was basically

staying in the ranger's front office until that time where they hand him the mantle we expect and now i think

it's all happening but the wording interestingly enough with bruce bocci was not retirement was not

you know expiration of contract it was a mutual parting of ways, which I think it's fair to read into that a little

bit and say the vision for the Rangers moving forward does not include Bruce Bochy.

Or Bruce Bochy's vision of the Rangers.

Does not appeal to him.

Right.

Or he wants to go home to San Francisco.

Maybe. I kind of think he's done.

I mean, I think he was done before this and he got talked into it by Chris Young and he loved

every second of being here and obviously got the job done in the biggest of ways.

But I don't think for one second this was ever going to be any longer than three years.

And I don't think that he's going to, I don't think he's going to go back and manage.
