In the spring of 1994, 39-year-old Keith Jasperson paced around his living room.

He had just finished watching the local news, during which there was no mention of a serial

killer terrorizing the Pacific Northwest.

Keith was frustrated that no one had figured out what he was doing.

Frankly, he was sick and tired of not getting the recognition he believed he deserved,

and if the cops were too stupid to find him on their own, then he would just have to

help them along.

With dreams of infamy, Keith composed a letter to the Oregonian newspaper.

He hoped they would publish it like the San Francisco Chronicle did with the Zodiac

Killer's messages.

In the letter, Keith described the intimate details of Tanya Bennett's murder, including

the location of her dumped body.
