1:09.1 | Yeah. |
1:10.1 | Well, you know, every day I find myself with at least an hour or so free time. I figured learning a musical instrument would be more beneficial to my life than, you know, watching a TV show or something with that. So I thought it would be a cool, fun thing to get started on. And day two, my fingers hurt. I'm really not that good at it. It's kind of discouraging. It's funny because every once in a while I'll finally get something and it clicks. But up front, it definitely requires a lot of patience and you've really got to just sit and focus on it. Well, you just graduated from college or you finished with a school. You haven't done the graduation yet right yeah like the actual ceremony I'm not doing one okay yeah well I just |
1:48.6 | graduated so so you just stopped learning a whole bunch of new stuff and whether |
1:53.4 | that was practical information or just some crazy course that didn't have anything |
1:56.8 | to do with anything you were still have to know like actually learn something |
2:00.7 | yeah because when we do like an audible book or anything like that, we're listening to it, but there's no, like, test at the end or qualifier to see how much information you're doing. And so when you stop having that expectation, it can be difficult to start learning new things. Yeah. That's one thing that, you know, I noticed with people that want them to become personal trainers is they have to get the certification. And if the further, like the older they are, unless they're like just super dedicated, the harder it is for them to take the test and learn it just because they haven't been, you know, continuing educating themselves. Which is one of the, I think it's kind of a benefit I have that right now, like I'm still in that kind of learning mode where I'm so used to having to learn new things. So I think I'm kind of taking advantage of that, whereas I know, you know, you for example, if you've got something else you want to learn, you haven't been in school for 10 years yeah seven to 10 years so it's a little |
2:51.6 | different for for you yeah there's a certification that I'm doing and just getting the |
2:56.3 | like studying and doing practice tests and all that stuff it's so foreign because I |
3:01.0 | haven't done it a while that you forget like you know what are best practices to |
3:04.5 | study and like retaining information that you don't necessarily want to |
3:07.5 | learn even though you want the certification and whatever it is like say you know you wanted to get a |
