Welcome to episode 12 of the Grey NATO, a loose discussion of travel, adventure, diving, gear, and most certainly watches.

0:18.0

I'm Jason Heaton.

0:19.0

And I'm James Stacy. Today we're going to do something a bit different. We received a thought-provoking question from a listener and this one simple query is actually going to be our main topic for this episode.

0:30.0

So Scott kindly wrote in and asked, if both of you could pick one watch to be your only watch forever

0:37.3

Which would get the nod and why? So this is kind of like a perennial question. I've heard this many times. I've been asked it on

0:44.5

Instagram and in emails before and I think it's fun to do as a conversation I think is a one-sided thing. It's a little bit dry.

0:52.4

And then as an added mix, while I think is a one-sided thing, it's a little bit dry.

0:52.6

And then as an added mix, while Jason and I generally can see kind of a mass

0:58.3

idea, like a note for the show, we've separated our notes,

1:02.4

so I actually don't know what watch

1:03.6

Jason selected or why and he doesn't know what I've selected and we haven't

1:09.8

chatted about it beforehand so you know Scott this is a great question and I'm really

1:15.2

excited to to dig in on it so I think it's fair to limit this hypothetical exercise to

1:20.3

answers that are realistically within the realm of what

1:23.8

Jason and I would actually spend on a watch so it's not really like

1:28.0

a one lottery watch it's a it's more of the you know one watch that we would actually buy and then wear forever.

1:34.8

Sound about right, Jason?

1:36.2

Yeah, that's kind of my take on it as well.

1:38.3

I mean, I think, you know, funny thing is I think the types of watches you and I gravitate towards are

1:43.8

generally not the the 50,000 you know paddock chronograph or something like that

1:49.2

anyway so I think we're probably going to be pretty aligned on on budget and kind of type of watch but

1:54.8

it'll be interesting to see how this plays out.
