Sharing her encore lift from Arcadia, California, is Christian Science practitioner, Kristen Bennett.

I was recently led to pull out the valentines from my husband that I've saved over the years.

There was one message that touched my heart.

He wrote,

Our joy comes from God and abounds.

How lovely. How true.

Mary Baker Eddy writes in Science and Health with key to the scriptures.

Sorrow is not the master of joy. Joy, master's sorrow, and abounds. At one point in my life, I felt alone. God gently

nudged me to read more of the writings of Mary Baker Eddy. After a few months, I finished, greatly touched.

I closed the books gently and prayed,

show me how to love like this writer. I wrote down the qualities I would like to have in a

relationship. They included honesty, integrity, generosity, stability. Since these qualities come from God, who is spirit, and I am made in

his image and likeness, so I'm spiritual, I affirmed that I had them right there, right then.

I knew I particularly needed to work on expressing integrity and stability myself.

It seemed daunting.

I started small, simply focusing on keeping my checkbook in order.

Soon I was inspired to write a card to a friend to express my

true appreciation for his good qualities, which included devotion to living uprightly.

A while later, he came to visit, and within a short time he proposed marriage.

Good multiplied in our lives as we worked together to magnify God's love for all.

You know, you are the apple of God's eye.
