I'm talking about from every standpoint, what would be the most significant city in the world some people might

say well that's easy that's that's in our nation Washington and everything

operates from that seat of power someone else may say no it's it's New

York it's Wall Street in the financial sector and then you get outside of our

own nation and there are great world-class cities, cities that I've

enjoyed being in, cities like Sydney, Australia, or London, England, massive cities that have so

much to offer. Yet I would suggest to you that the greatest city on earth is the city that God

placed at the center of his purpose in this world.

We've come in our study of the Psalms to Psalm 122 where David wrote, I was glad.

When they said into me, let us go into the house of the Lord.

Now we often hear this verse quoted as it relates to people assembling together with their church family.

And I think applicationally, there's nothing wrong with that.

I'm always glad when it's time to meet with God's people.

And you ought to be joyful.

And you should not take for granted the liberty that we have to assemble.

But interpretationally, Psalm 122 is not about assembling together for a
