Go with me, if you would, to the book of James.

We've been this week talking about faith in action.

Hallelujah.

And now, after, what was it, three nights, we finally get to our text.

But we hadn't got there yet, but we think so, right?

In James, the first chapter, James chapter one, all of this flows together.

You know, so many wrong doctrines would have been prevented if people had just read the chapter that came before and the chapter that came after.

But in James 1 and verse 22,

James 1.22, he said,

but be ye what?

Doers of the word.

And not hearers only,

deceiving your own selves.

He said,

for, if any, be a hearer of the word

and not a doer,

he's likened to a man beholding his natural face in a glass, we'd say mirror.

For he beholds himself and then goes his way and straightway forgets what manner of man he was, he forgets what he saw.

Now, God is a spirit.

He is, he functions by vision and faith and words.

And your faith actually produces your vision.

Without a vision, what the scripture say?
