Today's 10 minute walk is helping both of us remain fitness consistent.

So let's talk about this 10 minute walk that you and I are taking and the value, the great

value of walking for 10 minutes every day. I want to talk about seven benefits

of taking a 10 minute walk every day. Benefit number one, you and I are investing in our health.

When we make a commitment to walking consistently as a fitness activity, we are making an investment in our future health.

We are lowering the risk of an early death.

We're lowering the risk of heart disease, certain types of cancer, type 2 diabetes, dementia,

and more. Now, I'm a couple of things. I'm not a doctor, not a licensed personal trainer.

I also don't want to make it sound like a 10-minute walk maximizes those risk reductions.

It is an investment in our future health, but a longer walk, like a 20-minute walk,
