I'm Lou Dobbs with this great America Midday update. June Jobs report misses targets. The US

adding just 209,000 jobs for the month of June 100,000 fewer than the previous month.

The lackluster numbers for June marked the lowest monthly gain since December of 2020,

excluding the losses from the China virus pandemic. EJ and Tony fellow at the Heritage Foundation

says 90 percent of all jobs added during the Biden administration have been people regaining

their pre-COVID jobs. And Tony says 90 percent of the new jobs created last month

went to foreign-born workers. Here he is.

The Senate of all the jobs added during the Biden administration have simply been just

regaining jobs that were lost from COVID. It's very difficult to say that's a job gained,

when we're talking about a forcibly shutting down a place of employment and then later allowing

someone to go back to work. I don't see that as job creation and neither should the president.

Certainly so another key thing that we're looking at has been the disparity between foreign

born workers and native born workers. And in fact again some 90 percent of the jobs we have right

now above pre-pandemic levels have all gone to foreign-born workers which is very interesting

that this is the first month when native born workers have finally gotten back to pre-pandemic

levels. One of the reasons why that's so interesting is because the BLS, the Bureau of Labor

Statistics has to assign weights to both of these categories and they do that separately.

And what that does is it gives you an estimate for how much each of those categories are increasing.

But if those weights are off then it means the total employment numbers are off.
