Summary
U.S. is threatened by Marxists within and surrounded by Communists. Sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference. Gordon Chang says we have to pay attention to our own hemisphere because the Russians, Chinese and Iranians have been making inroads, not just in Cuba, South America or the Bahamas but Canada. Tony Shaffer says the Chinese spy facility in Cuba is a major collection center and Biden is allowing the Cubans to say yes to China and let them move in. Gordon finds it interesting that when the State Department issues a travel advisory to China, Janet Yellen gets on a plane for Beijing. The Chinese see a top Biden official head to Beijing, it only confirms in their minds the U.S. is acknowledging a subordinate position. Blinken should never have gone to China and Yellen should not have gone. If the Chinese want to talk, make them come to Washington. Shaffer says it’s disappointing to see the mess Mark Milley and Lloyd Austin have made advising Ukraine. There’s no military strategy that makes sense. All they’re doing is throwing military equipment against the wall and hoping for the best. And hope is not a strategy.
