Summary

In this episode of The Grave Talks, we sit down with Jennifer Ward, investigator with Western Idaho Paranormal Inc. (W.I.P.), a nonprofit group dedicated to scientific, professional paranormal investigation across Idaho and the Pacific Northwest. W.I.P. doesn't just chase shadows—they document them. And what they discovered inside the walls of the Gooding University Inn (formerly the Idaho State Tuberculosis Hospital) is unforgettable.

Built in 1920 as a dormitory for Gooding College, the building later served as a tuberculosis hospital from 1947 to 1976—a place of isolation, suffering, and many deaths. Now, as an inn being carefully restored, visitors and investigators alike have reported overwhelming feelings of dread, unexplainable physical sensations, and full-bodied apparitions.

Jennifer shares one of the most compelling EVPs ever captured in the building, along with chilling details of what her team experienced in the attic and basement, where even the current innkeeper refuses to go. Is the energy just residual from decades of death? Or is something more intelligent—and possibly sinister—anchored to the location?

This is the haunted history of the Gooding TB Hospital—a place where spirits roam long hallways, shadows watch from corners, and the past refuses to die quietly. This is Part Two of our conversation.

Today on The Grave Talks, we continue our conversation about what's really haunting the Old Gooding TV Hospital with Jennifer Ward of Western Idaho Paranormal.

0:12.3

What do you think is going on there?

0:15.8

And I would think it'd have something to do with it being a hospital.

0:19.5

I would imagine during that time,

0:22.4

there would have been quite a bit of death and sadness and despair. You know, because I think

0:28.3

emotions also leave an imprint from a person, you know, you kind of pick up on that energy. It's like

0:33.7

if you were to walk in a room and everybody in the room just got really bad news, you walk in and you look around and you're like, what's matter? It's like if you were to walk in a room and everybody in the room just got really bad news,

0:38.1

you walk in and you look around and you're like, what's matter?

0:41.3

It's that sort of thing.

0:43.2

Like you pick up on it.

0:45.9

I'm not sure.

0:48.1

So a lot of people say like limestone or moving water or anything that can kind of bring up energy. I want to say that

0:58.6

there is limestone somewhere in the building. It kind of looks like the building is limestone,

1:04.1

but it's not. Yeah, I think the bases or something of that nature, I don't remember. I have to

1:10.0

look back through. I have stacks of stuff that I've investigated over the years trying to figure out this place

1:17.7

because the history of it kind of disappears a little bit.

1:22.1

Interesting.

1:23.1

Like we don't have records of doctors.

1:25.2

We only have one record of one doctor.

1:27.6

There'd have to be more.

1:29.7

Yeah.

1:30.1

And so it's just a, it's a little frustrating with that.
