Acts 2, verse 40, this is immediately after Peter finishes delivering his message on the day of Pentecost.

3,000 are added, and the heading above verse 40 in my Bible says, a vital church grows.

A vital church grows. A vital church grows.

Not a church grows.

We got a lot of that going on.

A vital church grows.

Again, that's Dr. Boyette, I guess that's an anatomical term.

A vital.

When we hunt, we shoot an animal, we aim for the vitals. So this is a vital church, a living church, a thriving church, a church that is moving

and growing and accomplishing. And let's learn about it. Verse 40 says, and with many other words,

he testified, this is speaking of Peter, and with many other words, he testified,

this is speaking of Peter, and exhorted them saying, be saved, listen, from this perverse generation.

Then those who gladly, now, let first, their generation is perverse, but they don't have pornography on the internet and they don't have playboy and hustler the perversion is not necessarily sexual perverse generation is a generation

that has illegitimate affections to be perverted is to have an affection that is illegitimate.

And so he said, this generation has illegitimate affections.

What's he talking about?

He's just talking about the group of people that killed Jesus,

that love their laws and love their customs,

and love their own lives, and love their own rituals,

and love the way that they've done things,

and love to be praised in the done things and love to be praised
