and we are just under one hour from a government shutdown.

At no point today did there appear to be any hope of a last-minute deal.

Earlier, we did hear from both leaders in the Senate, but it sounds like nothing has changed.

Today, the president repeated his threat

that if a shutdown happens,

he could make drastic changes to the federal workforce. Watch this.

They are shutting it down. We're not shutting it down. We don't want it to shut down because we have

the greatest period of time ever. I told you, we have $17 trillion being invested. So the last person

that wants to shut down is us. Now, with that being said,

we can do things during the shutdown that are irreversible, that are bad for them and irreversible

by them, like cutting vast numbers of people out, cutting things that they like, cutting programs
