So this week we wanted to give you a little something different in our continued mission to open up the world

behind what we all find funny.

At Volchapel at LA last fall, we had had Vulture invited Mike Schur and the rest of the

writers of The Good Place for a panel discussion.

The panel was confidently moderated by Mark Evan Jackson, the host of the Good

Place Podcast, who you might also know from playing Sean the Demon on the Good Place, and Holt's husband

Kevin on Brooklyn 99, or like a million other parts here and there.

There is just so much interesting funny stuff that I felt like the listeners of this podcast

would enjoy hearing it.

At minimum, both Good Place and Good One have Good in the title, which is not nothing.

So first you'll hear a clip from this past season with a good place and let's this have the blanket spoiler for anyone who's not caught up in which Michael played by Ted Danson and Janet played by Darcy Carden explain how time works in this universe in a way that is a bit like how you'd write

Jeremy Bairmy Incursive. For fans of the show they know exactly what I'm talking about

for not fans of the show you are very confused. We'll be back next

week with a traditional episode with a great joke and a great comedian, but until then I turn it over

to Mark. Well this sucks. So to sum up, there is a heaven in hell. We've been to hell and now, no matter how good we are for the rest of our lives we're going

back to hell. Again it's not the classic Christian hell but that's the gist yes

as soon as you learned about the afterlife,

your motivation to be good was corrupted.

So you can't earn points anymore.

So sorry for eternally dooming you. And that's our bad guys.
