0:10.9	Have you ever been at an event where something almost went really wrong?
0:14.9	But there was someone there that quietly stepped in and saved the day.
0:18.8	You know, I worked in the local church and I would be lying
0:21.5	if I said that all of the events that you think that go off without a hitch at church actually do.
0:27.4	There's usually people in the background that are stressed out that are making things look seamless.
0:32.9	But I know from being in that space that often there are so many different things that you can't
0:38.6	even plan on that go wrong. Sometimes the microphones don't work or sometimes if it's a wedding,
0:43.3	the cake doesn't show up on time or if it's an event where there's supposed to be different
0:48.6	people there, somebody gets the wrong day or the wrong time. Sometimes there's spilled coffee
0:53.4	on the rug. There's just all sorts of
0:55.0	things that can go wrong behind the scenes. And the goal is really to cover those things so that most
1:01.1	people don't even notice. Well, that's kind of the feel of the moment we're about to explore in
1:06.5	John chapter 2. And this is when Jesus is performing his first recorded miracle. Now remember, this is not
1:14.7	in the temple. It's not in the battlefield. It's not in front of all the disciples. It's at a wedding.
1:23.7	It's actually a celebration of his family and friends, people that he knew from his hometown.
1:30.2	And they're in this scenario where the wine runs out, which in that culture, it would have been a major social embarrassment.
1:37.2	Jesus steps in and quietly, he transforms the situation.
