Welcome to the Conversations that Matter Podcast. My name is John Harris. I'm going to answer a question or try to at least from a patron this morning on the end goal for Progressive Evangelicals. The end goal for Progressive Evangelicals. What are they trying to do? What is Russell Moore and Tim Keller and all the rest of them? What are they trying to accomplish by siding with or ingratiating themselves to the side of the aisle

0:20.9

politically that wants to cancel them.

0:23.0

Why would they try to have a partnership there?

0:26.3

And this confused a lot of people, I think,

0:28.3

because they think, well, hold on.

0:30.2

1:04.8

sexuality then they won't be canceled. So it's kind of this this mechanism for

1:11.6

longevity and trying to maintain some kind of a platform or credibility in the eyes of

1:17.5

the Democrats and the liberals progressives whatever you want to call them the

1:21.8

revolutionaries as I sometimes call them.

1:24.3

And I think there's some merit to that.

1:26.2

I actually think that's probably the gist of it.

1:28.6

There's other theories about maybe this is actually who they really are.

1:34.0

You know, Tim Keller really is a progressive.

1:35.9

He really does believe what progressives believe and he's been a wolf in sheep's clothing
