Summary

0:44.0	I'll share a little bit about Stuart Edward White with you.
0:47.0	He was an American author and spiritualist whose writing focused on both nature and human nature at a time when America was starting
0:54.0	to lose its vast wilderness.
0:56.2	He wrote Westerns, camping journals, outdoor adventure fiction, and about pioneers who passed
1:01.2	through or settled in rugged country.
1:03.0	His writing style was pithy and plain spoken,
1:06.0	and he enjoyed describing details about hunting, fishing, cabin building, logging, guns,
1:11.0	and other wilderness survival skills.
1:13.0	He grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan,

1:21.0	Theodore Roosevelt complimented White as the best man with both pistol and rifle
