we're going to talk about boredom and what a potential antidote for boredom

may be.

First, let's settle in together with the sound of the bells. Okay, so, boredom. Hmm, we're all familiar with boredom, that feeling of being bored,

wanting something more, wanting to be excited, energized,

something new, something novel, and especially these days where we have so many opportunities for distraction or little

pleasures or dopamine hits through technology, it can be very easy to feel boredom and immediately get ourselves

out of it.

We just play a game on our phones or scroll through social media, get a little bit more of a dopamine hit.

But I remember when I was a kid, before all of this technology really came on the scene,

we would sit on the front lawn, me, my brother, some of the neighbors, the neighbors kids, and we'd just be like,

what do you want to do today?

I don't know, what do you want to do?

I don't know, what do you want to do? I don't know what do you want to do.

We just sit there until we figured out something we wanted to do.

And I remember this one summer we invented this game called tennis baseball

which is nothing more than playing baseball with a tennis

wreck tennis ball, but we thought it was so cool if we thought we invented it and we

played it for years. But it all came out of just sitting in boredom and waiting for something to arise.
