Summary

This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE!

The Walter E. Fernald Developmental Center has a very dark past.  A past shaded with sinister and unethical experimentation on developmentally disabled children.  From eugenics to feeding children cereals laced with radioactive isotopes. Life inside the Fernald was not the rehabilitation or care that it should have been.  Today, the campus is abandoned, a quiet and lonely reminder of a time many would rather forget.  But do the dark shadows of the past still linger in the halls of countless buildings that slowly rot away on this seemingly cursed plot of land?  Today we learn about Fernald's Spirits as we talk with paranormal investigator Nick Graves. This is Part Two of our conversation.

0:08.7

Do you feel there's negative entities that are lingering around this facility?

0:13.2

And I'm not trying to go all demonic on us here.

0:15.5

But when you have places like this, sometimes these are the locations where you can literally go,

0:23.5

yeah, there's probably something kind of dark hanging out here.

0:30.4

Maybe not the only thing, but do you feel like there's that here at the campus in some of these buildings?

0:34.9

Yes, I feel there's a strong combination of both.

0:38.3

There are many dark spirits, but there are also a lot of like jubilant, really happy, upbeat spirits there as well that we've interacted with and that

0:44.6

honestly make you feel like, you know, you're just having fun like with these spirits, but then

0:49.0

there are definitely very, very, very, very dark spirits that we have, and entities that we've experienced

0:55.1

at this location. I don't know if maybe, like you said, it would be like something demonic

1:00.2

or maybe elemental or something, but then I also think about, you know, you know, people that

1:05.9

were staff or, you know, patients, you know, that were doing cruel and violent things to other people that were there, you know, that were doing cruel and vile things to other people that were there,

1:13.5

you know, there's even reported cases of, like, janitorial staff and whatnot, you know,

1:19.0

you know, molesting some of the children and stuff like that.

1:22.4

So, like, I definitely believe that there is dark or, you know, not so good energy there.

1:30.2

Mm-hmm.

1:30.6

But for the dark energy that's there, there's also equally as good energy.

1:36.3

So it's like one of those places that's, it's all around intriguing, like all around.

1:41.8

I mean, it's just...

1:44.4

It's balanced almost.

1:45.9

I mean, not that negative is good, but there's good and there's bad.
