Summary

In 1902, the Copper Queen Hotel opened its doors in Bisbee, Arizona, and was heralded as the epitome of modern hospitality in the West. Erected during an era when Bisbee boasted its status as the largest urban center between St. Louis and San Francisco, the hotel not only mirrored the prosperity of the local mining industry but also underscored the dominance of railway transportation at the cusp of the twentieth century.

Today, the Copper Queen Hotel stands as Arizona's oldest continuously operational hotel and has welcomed many notable figures within its walls. Its esteemed guests have been luminaries such as John Wayne, Marlon Brando, and Harry Houdini. Yet, these renowned names may not hold the most enduring legacy, as some visitors have lingered far beyond their intended stays. Among the spectral inhabitants are the ghosts of Julia Lowell, a young boy known as Billy and an enigmatic figure often referred to as the Smoking Man. 0:26.8	So it really could because the smoking man and I don't, there's there's kind of

0:35.9	The the other almost wanted room in my opinion is 401 and that's the no name room.

0:47.9	So a lot of people don't even know that it is like one of the most haunted rooms, if not the most haunted room in the hotel.
0:57.4	And I kind of have a theory that that's kind of like the smoking man's room and he goes around in and out of the room and around the hallways,
1:07.6	you know, with his cigars and he definitely has a much darker energy and that would kind of make sense because their rooms are only a couple apart.
1:18.9	Billy's and 401 I mean.
1:28.6	Obviously this older smoking man he's been seen then because I mean you wouldn't pick up on a top hat and cape unless you've someone has seen an apparition.
1:35.0	Oh yeah, a lot of people see him.
1:39.0	They see a man in black with the top hat, a tall man. And people seem to say they see that all over the hotel. And I've even had someone tell me they've seen him in the gulch. So I don't know if it's true or not that he actually leaves the hotel or not, but it's definitely
1:58.7	an interesting theory and I have stayed in 401, too, probably longer than any other room in the hotel.
2:06.3	So I mean, to me, that room is the most haunted because when I was in there the door would always open and shut by itself and like
2:16.4	actually the handle would actually turn and open slowly and then shut quickly like someone was coming in and out of the room.
2:26.0	It's interesting because we had some women staying in there that we were here for kind of like a psychic convention going on.
2:35.0	And they, I asked them when I came into the room, you know, what have you guys
2:40.4	experienced anything yet after staying for one night?
2:44.4	And they told me the same exact things that I experienced there.
