About the author: Brandon Massullo is a clinical therapist, author, and parapsychologist residing in Northeast Ohio. He has graduate degrees in clinical counseling from the University of Toledo and psychological research methods from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, UK. Brandon studied within the Koestler Parapsychology Unit at the University of Edinburgh, and his research centered on environmental sensitivity and ghostly encounters.

0:09.9	Do you have any theories on, and it could just be chance, why some people have paranormal
0:19.6	experiences and other people think those people are crazy because it's never happened to them.
0:26.6	And it could just be that person A was in a situation where, you know, maybe it was where they lived or, you know, maybe a person had passed and came to
0:40.4	them like the aunt and saying goodbye. And then nothing like that's ever happened to another
0:46.3	person. So in your research, how do you kind of, or did you come to any thoughts on that?
0:57.2	Yeah, I think, and in the book I talk a little bit about certain people who just seem to be more prone to ghostly encounters.
1:05.8	So their increased probability of having ghostly encounters has nothing to do with like psychic abilities
1:12.6	but rather it's something as simple and concrete as the ability to taste touch and smell
1:17.5	and that has to do with the thing i talked about earlier which is environmental sensitivity
1:21.9	so environmental sensitivity is not psychic sensitivity it's a little different
1:26.5	as humans we, we all
1:29.7	sort of react to the environment differently. There's certain people or certain individuals
1:34.2	that are just more attuned with the environment. And usually these people have migraines,
1:42.8	they have fibromyalgia, they have severe sensitivity to light sounds and
1:48.6	smells. They're just overwhelmed with the environment, longstanding allergies, chronic pain.
1:56.2	Now these environmentally sensitive people, they're just experiencing the world a little differently.
2:01.9	So if I walk into a room and it has fluorescent lighting and I sit down on a chair that's been
2:08.1	wiped with harsh chemicals like bleach and I'm sitting next to a guy who's just doused in
2:14.4	Old Spice or some cologne. I'm perfectly fine.
2:18.6	That's a lot.
