The Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida stands as a testament to the opulence

and ambition of the 1920s. Designed by renowned architects Leonard Schulze and S. Fullerton

Weaver, the hotel opened its doors in 1926. At the time, Miami was experiencing a booming land rush, and the built more quickly became a playground for the rich and famous.

Its Mediterranean revival design, complete with a 315-foot tower modeled after the Giralda in Seville, Spain, symbolized the fusion of luxury and artistry.

The hotel hosted glamorous events, celebrity guests, and illicit activities during prohibition,

hidden behind the dazzling facade the Biltmore harbored a more shadowy undercurrent.

Gambling, secretive deals, and connections to organized crime were rumored to flourish

within its walls.

It was in this environment that Thomas Fattie Walsh, a well-known figure in the criminal
